Last week Years 5 and 6 met before sunrise to travel to Canberra. Everyone was very excited about the three day adventure that lay ahead.
Our first stop was Parliament House where we passed our own Bill in Parliament and visited the Senate and House of Representatives. It was then on to the War Memorial to reflect on past battles and pay our respect for the fallen. To finish off our day we visited Old Parliament House, the Museum of Democracy and the Embassies.
At 7am the next morning we set off for Perisher, with a stop in Cooma to pick up our snow clothes. Unfortunately, the hot bus, combined with the windy roads and milk from breakfast, exhausted our supply of sick bags in no time! Determined, we took the Ski Tube up the mountain and had a great day in the snow.
On our final morning we visited Mount Ainslie before taking on Questacon. After a quick pizza lunch, it was full speed ahead for Sydney. We arrived back right on time and ready for a good sleep.
