Peakhurst South Public School prides itself on living by its 5 Core Values.
Values shape our relationships, our behaviours, our choices and our sense of who we are. The more positive our values, the more positive will be our actions. This is one of the reasons why values education is taught in schools. They play a role in assisting us to become successful and happy. Values influence all aspects of school life. They determine what students learn, how they learn and the way they learn. They influence all actions and decisions of schools, not only in classrooms but in the wider community.
Values education involves strategies that assist students to explore, discuss, analyse and act on values in the context of their learning and their interaction with others.
