We offer students a rich variety of co-curricular opportunities to complement their learning, encourage creativity, and build lifelong skills. Performing arts
Our vibrant performing arts program nurtures creativity and confidence through activities including Dance Troupes, DanceSport, School Band, Choir and AUSLAN Choir, offering students multiple ways to express themselves and develop their talents on stage.
Academic challenges and competitions
Students can sharpen their minds and embrace a love of learning by participating in competitions such as the Premier's Spelling Bee, Maths Olympiad, Debating, Public Speaking and Chess, promoting critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills.
Leadership and community involvement
Our leadership programs, including the Student Representative Council (SRC), Peer Support, Canteen Assistants and Library Monitors encourage students to develop responsibility, teamwork and a strong sense of community service.
STEM and creative clubs
Peakhurst South offers exciting STEM and creative opportunities including Lego Club, Lego Masters, Lego Robotics and Art Club to inspire innovation, creativity and hands-on learning.
Environmental and sustainability initiatives
Students passionate about making a difference can join the Garden Club, Environment Committee and STARS (Sustainability and Action Program), where they engage in projects that promote environmental awareness and positive change.
Sporting opportunities
Our sporting programs include school sport, inter-school PSSA Sport and representative sport pathways, supporting fitness, teamwork and healthy competition across a variety of activities.
Buddy and mentoring programs
To build community and support, students can participate in Year 6 Buddy program with Kindergarten students, Preschool Buddy Reading and Peer Support, building friendships and mentoring relationships across year groups and the community.
